


Since 2000, LJ Rose has facilitated The Leadership Challenge® Workshop for a wide range of clients around the world. Over the years she has found core topics from the author’s findings to be central to client success. Now, in keynote format, LJ shares these essentials with audiences wanting to adapt The Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership® to their organizational needs.
Credible and funny, LJ customizes high-energy, interactive speeches for the public, private and non-profit sectors. She has addressed Finance, Sales, Marketing, HR, and Customer Support audiences. Creates critical distinctions and connections between leading and managing and drills-down on what constituents are looking for from leaders. Humorously describes the leadership spectrum that exists everyday in organizations and gives participants an opportunity to be honest with themselves about the role(s) they play.
WHY LEADERSHIP? WHY NOW? WHY YOU? Looks at critical “Why?” questions by digging into Organizational-Team-Project-Personal layers to get to the root of leadership. Uses Kouzes and Posner’s definition of leading and The Five Practices to navigate. Gives participants two key questions they can ask themselves to help prioritize their leadership challenges and overcome resistance. Provides four additional “toolkit” questions to help attendees get more frequent with their leadership behaviors.
MAKING THE MOMENT YOUR PERSONAL BEST Turns on its head the idea that there isn’t enough time to lead well. Defines leadership and The Five Practices according to Kouzes and Posner’s Personal Best research. Explores the relationship of beliefs, actions and results, and derails two productivity dilemmas permeating organizations today. Integrates these findings with ways to create “Disciplined Practice” and optimal performance. Gives participants tools to create a Personal Best strategy that develops their effectiveness one moment to the next.
EXPLORING YOUR LEADERSHIP LIFELINE Our own lives are often our best teachers, particularly when it comes to leadership. Using Kouzes and Posner’s Five Practices as the foundation, participants gather insights about their Leadership Lifeline. During this interactive session participants look back at significant experiences in their work and personal life to learn about the person they are and the leader they can become. Also provides tips on how to use the Leadership Lifeline with others.
