Jeni Gomez Nichols has a diverse business background of sales, management, consulting, and teaching. She has over fifteen years of experience working with authors Jim Kouzes and Barry Posner bringing The Leadership Challenge™ to leaders throughout the world. In 2005 she founded Sonoma Learning Systems with a vision of a “Well led world, one leader at a time.”
At Sonoma Learning Systems she leads a team of creative experienced leadership development professionals and believes great leadership is at the core of any organization's success. With client partners she has conceived, designed, and implemented a wide range of events and training interventions for the express purpose of “lighting a fire” within the hearts and minds of leaders. She has brought her leadership consulting and training services to a wide range of clients including: Capital Group, Genentech, Bank of America, SAS, Travelers Insurance, Lawrence Livermore National Labs, Wells Fargo Bank, Intel, California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, and Round Table Pizza.
A graduate of Loma Linda University in Sociology and Anthropology. Jeni brings her anthropological and systems approach to organizations. She has published articles in Society of Human Resources Magazine, Sonoma Business Journal and is editor of The Leader's Almanac. She has numerous certificates in Vinticulture and Winemaking and in her private time she grows grapes and makes wine at her home in Sonoma with husband Byron (and dog pal Brix). As an active docent for the Sonoma Ecology Center she takes children and adults on interpretive hikes and connects them with nature. She enjoys her commute to the office, biking through vineyards in beautiful Sonoma Valley.
Jeni is the editor of The Leader's Almanac, published by Sonoma Learning Systems, and frequent writer and contributor to business publications.
